Administrative/Volunteer Coordinator Assistant

Job Description

Fast growing Multi-state Hospice Company seeking an Administrative / Volunteer Coordinator Assistant to join our team in the Ridgeland, MS area! Flexible work schedule, family & team oriented environment.

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing day-to-day administrative functions of the corporate office.
  • Performs spiritual assessment on Palladium Hospice & Palliative Care patients.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting, seminar & manual materials, presentation materials, spreadsheets, and contracts as needed or requested.
  • Support Regional Administrator and the entire team regarding patient documentation and any other office work as needed.
  • Perform other related assignments as required.
  • Performs system and file audits ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for all regional patient chart audits.
  • Attend all new hire orientations for assistance.
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork, orientation and on-boarding of new hires.
  • Human resources contact for employee inquiries.
  • Responsible for ordering, stocking and organization of office supplies for the company.
  • Assist with administrative and human resources duties as directed (i.e. typing reports, correspondence, filing, etc.)
  • Schedules and updates meeting room calendars.
  • Assist in the planning and logistics of Employee Forums.
  • Answer telephone, route calls and take and disseminate messages when necessary.
  • Assist in preparing materials and coordinating arrangements for staff to attend company and external meetings.
  • Responsible for all regional patient chart audits.
  • Performs system and file audits ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Support Regional Administrator and the entire team regarding patient documentation and any other office work as needed.
  • Support Volunteer Coordinator regarding volunteer recruitment, placement, orientation, and retention.

Administrative Assistant Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • In-depth computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to articulate on the telephone and be responsive to all callers.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations.
  • Hospice experience a plus.
